i bought my basic slg about 4 months ago. this gun had so many problems out of the box. it leaked EVERYWHERE. i was afraid to go near it. i got those leaks fixed and a month later, it started to jam. it would also only shoot maybe one shot per every 10 trigger pulls. then it would jam. but its pretty quiet. thats about the only good thing. SAVE A ROCK! THROW AN SLG!!!!!!!!!!

Pure Garbage When I got Mine |

I bought the "09" Proto SLG thinking that maybe a lot of the old problems would have been fixed..... No, my gun BRAND NEW out of the box auto fires. Turned up the velocity, higher clicks on trigger sensitivity, cleaned/relubed bolt, checked sear and still for every 1 click of the trigger I'll get almost 14-15 fires afterwards without me even pressing the trigger any more there after. Gun is garbage, and now I have to deal with Proto tech support and will be probably sending my gun in to not see it for a month. It seems to me that these guns only come in two styles: 1) They work and they're great 2) They don't and they're garbage. Don't gamble and think you won't get a bad gun because that's what I did and I made a mistake. I have no clue why PROTO would produce such a marker. My advice, buy a better gun to begin with, so you don't waste your time with this!

Don't buy the SLG |

I own an SLG, and it never worked properly from the time it was brand new, and is now at Dye precision being repaired (hopefully).
Go to PBNation.com and look at the SLG section, and you will mostly see people who have problems with their SLG. You will almost never see someone who has an SLG, and is happy with it.
Don't throw your money away on an SLG. If you do, you'll stand around trying to fix it, while everyone else is playing paintball.
Dye/Proto makes some of the best products available. The DM series guns are as good as it gets. Why do they feel the need to sell a gun as problematic as the SLG? All you read about are people that have problems with their brand new SLG, and no matter what the problem is, everyone says that the problem is common in the SLG.
Fix the quality of the SLG, or just discontinue it. But stop selling this turd with SLG written on it.

this gun can be great if it works, but i guarantee that it will hav problems with it later. I bought one a month ago and has been having so many problems with it. I had many technitions look at it and they can fix it for a day and it just comes back again. Save your money and buy a dangerous power G3 or a smart parts vibe
