i have mixed feelings on this gun
i bought two and when its working its a GREAT marker but there were many problems i had on BOTH markers such as air leaking, asa loose, and screws not unscrewing on the gun.
Most stuff can be fixed with upgrades though. id recommend a new on/off asa, barrel, and get a cp trigger or somthing but otherwise very good marker

Some problems |

First day out the asa rail came loose and it pinched a ball between the breech/bolt really hard. I cleaned and relubed the marker and changed the battery and the next time out it pinched another ball using a fresh case of DXS recsport. Since then I've had it out 3 more times with no problems. I guess it just needed a bit of break in time. I'm still not sold on it's reliability, other than than that I like its weight and ease of maintenance.

My upgrade marker from a Spyder TLR |

First of all 200 bucks great marker, so many upgrades you can do with this from barrel, grip, feedneck etc. The only 2 things I wish they could have done was give you a on/off asa and a 14 inch barrel. The marker is super light to hold. Very easy to maintain take out the bolt lube some o rings and thats it. Lube is important after every day of play and clean the eys you are good for your next time you play. Comes with everything you need to start with. I can say more but check it out at your local paintball shop.

Don't buy the SLG |

I own an SLG, and it never worked properly from the time it was brand new, and is now at Dye precision being repaired (hopefully).
Go to PBNation.com and look at the SLG section, and you will mostly see people who have problems with their SLG. You will almost never see someone who has an SLG, and is happy with it. Don't take my word for it, do some research.
Don't throw your money away on an SLG. If you do, you'll stand around while everyone else is playing paintball.
Dye/Proto makes some of the best products available. The DM series guns are as good as it gets. Why do they feel the need to sell a gun as problematic as the SLG? All you read about are people that have problems with their brand new SLG, and no matter what the problem is, everyone says that the problem is common in the SLG.
Not a good beginner gun, because beginners won't know how to fix the continuous problems.
