Macroline is way better September 1, 2009
Reviewer: Sean Walling from Goleta, CA United States
Steel braided hose is and was generally used on guns like older spyders and pirahnas that shot CO2.  Since the overtaking of the sport by Compressed Air steel braided hose has lost its frequency of use.  It is still recommended for guns that use CO2 as macroline is necessarily used with compressed air.  In my personal experience these hoses are on their way out of the sport, because they are heavier, invariable, unsightly, and just old technology.  My own advice is to use one when necessary but never out of choice and NEVER EVER on an autococker.

It's durable February 3, 2009
Reviewer: Matt from Bellingham, WA United States
Steel braided hose has its advantages and disadvantages. I personally use macroline and replace these hoses on the markers I get that have them. However, steel braided hoses are more durable, so you scenario players will appreciate these more. On the other hand, there is no cutting steel braided hoses to size. The length you buy is the length you get. If you play scenario, go for it. If you play airball, go with macroline.
