Description Technical Specs

To start with the Crossfire SS 68/4500 bottle itself, it is produced with care in the Crossfire Kalamazoo, MI facility. All Crossfire paintball tanks go through rigorous testing in order to bring the safest and most durable tank to your gear bag. The bottles are wrapped from the best carbon fiber and are assembled in the hands of the Crossfire family.

The big hype of the Crossfire SS 68/4500 Tank is the new regulator which comes stock on all SS series bottles. The new SS Regulator has only 3 pieces and is the first rebuildable Crossfire regulator to ever hit the market. This means you will be hard pressed to find a tank regulator that will be easier to work on or have less problems.

The Crossfire SS Tank regulator comes stock with a new mini gauge which is much smaller and lighter than the standard Crossfire tank Regulator. Both the regulator body as well as bonnet are machined with flat surfaces on the side if the regulator needs to be removed or rebuilt. Now you can do it without causing damage to the regulator.

On the safety side of the Crossfire SS 68/4500 Regulator, there are two set screws on the regulator body which hold the regulator bonnet securely onto the regulator body. In addition to that, the dual burst discs (HP and LP) will keep you safe in the event of a bottle being overfilled or a sudden spike in the regulator output pressure.

Not only is the Crossfire SS regulator light weight, but it weights much less than all of its predecessors. Also, the Crossfire SS Tank comes stock with a brass bonnet (Threaded Portion) which is much stronger and durable than some of the other standard aluminum bonnets on the market.

Overall, the Crossfire SS 68/4500 is Tank proudly made in the US and is one of the best quality tanks on the market.

good tank, bad reg December 10, 2012
Reviewer: Justin from Aberdeen MD
I only got to use this tank for one day at the field before air started leaking out of the pin, I pushed the pin with a hex key and it stopped until the next weekend when it started leaking again. I haven't played in about a month due to the cold weather so my tank sat in my room filled at around 4000 psi, the fill nipple started leaking and completely emptied my tank, so if you plan on getting this tank buy a different reg preferably ninja pro.

Terrible purchase October 31, 2012
Reviewer: Zac from 307/208
The bottle holds air like any other should.

HOWEVER-
Right out of the box, the fill nipple didn't work. I had to replace it just to get air into the bottle. After very little use, and not nearly enough abuse, I blew a burst disc. That was another $5 in tournament I didn't care to spend, on a tank that was pretty much brand new. When the reg blew a third mystery leak, I gave up and got a Ninja Pro.

Conclusion-
Crossfire regs are garbage.

DONT BUY! July 8, 2012
Reviewer: Austin from paradise, CA United States
this tank is NOT worth the money! Me and my nephew (who is like a brother) got this tank at the same time, the first time I went to fill at the 3000 fill station the gauge made a wierd noise and then the needle started spinning. (trash gauge). And then I went to stoot my gun with it and the fill nipple blew off! And so we took our tanks to a airsmith and then he said that THEY WERNT EVEN NEW WHEN SHIPPED TO US!  DONT BUY!!! save for a ninja!!!!

Super awesome March 20, 2012
Reviewer: David Slack from Ocala, FL United States
I got this tank a good 3 years ago when they still had a big gauges. I recently got back into paintball so I was looking at a second tank. I had no problem with the reg, burst disks, or fill valve. Some times with new regs on tanks you need to not rush the first fill. I had to get my fill nipple re-lubed because it didn't hold air for a long time and got pinched. Awesome tank. gonna get another!
