Once you get these pads on, they stay on and absorb shock very well. The hard part is taking them off at the end of the day. They are very snug and take a while to break in. The airprene material is a little cooler than the neoprene used in the Proto knee pads. It still does not breathe well enough for my skin. After two days of back to back practice, or after a long hot day at a summer tournament, I end up with a rash on my knees.
