Players are constantly looking to shoot more fragile paint. The Ego D.A.R.T. (Dynamic Air Release Technology) Bolt has been designed to help achieve just that. The protruding Diffuser head of this new bolt offers up a cushion of air that strikes the ball across a much larger surface area. By distributing the air blast over this larger area, localised concentrations of force on the ball are greatly reduced, and hence the likelihood of an in-barrel detonation. Not only that, but the protrusion of the bolt face also helps to hold the ball centrally in the feed, not allowing it to role aft. This prevents the partial incursion of a second ball into the breach whilst using the type of force-fed loaders preferred by the majority of players. This helps prevent clipped or crushed paint falling into the breach. A ramped upper face and teardrop detent slots (greatly increasing the working life of the detents) round out the feature list of the new D.A.R.T. Bolt for the Ego. The Ego D.A.R.T. bolt comes with internals already installed. You need to remove you existing pin which is a simple job. Rotate pin 90 degree’s and pull this will allow you to remove your pin. Now insert the pin into your new bolt (With the big air inlet hole facing down push the pin in from the top). The pin will stop when it reaches the spring-loaded ball bearing. With an allen key, screwdriver or anything similar, push the spring-loaded ball bearing in and put pressure on the pin, which will now slide down. Twist the pin so it locks in place and you’re away.
