decent plastic, spring loaded, snap open lid. Almost the same as the GXG 100rd pods, except less ergonomic. As you can see in the picture, these pods have flat bottoms. Why does that matter? It makes it rather difficult to put into your pod pack when your on the field and can't take off your mask or pack. It took me a full minute to get it back into the pod sleeve, because the edges of the bottom of the pod kept pushing the pod sleeve down.
I'd recommend buying the GXG 100rd pods instead, since they are identical except for having round bottoms, which makes it A LOT easier to get them into the sleeves of your pack.

i have these pods and i have 5..... THEY ARE BETTER THAN A LOCK LID. personally get these their cheap, thick plastic, holds 100 rounds, great for beginners and if you have a short supply of paint on the field one day you could just use these. im doing that cuz i have 2300 paintballs im using today =] get these pods best thing that ER has ever made
