this lens looks amazing and im really considering buying them, but do they really make everything that dark?

i always use hot water on all my lenses i just run them under hot water brifley then dab them dri and let air dri

This lens is great for sunny day games. The shade is definitively greater than a shade 3 sunglasses lens so make sure you really want a dark shade before purchasing. They are pretty scratch resistant as far as I can tell. ALWAYS USE WATER OR LENS CLEANER WHEN CLEANING!!!
