As an owner of this marker and one who plays with many that use it. I can tell you that it will not let you down. The things you can do to it are astounding and some what addictive.Just remember this is a woodsball gun and its only a 98 custom and no matter how much you do to it its still just going to have the performance of a 98. Watch how much money you spend on it.

Tippmann makes a solid gun and it has remained virtually unchanged for years! There are parts and upgrades for these things everywhere. They are meant to upgrade and tippmann offers a full line to customize them to your liking. The guns are a novices dream and all woodsballers have them or have played with them. They are very very well made. You will love this gun!

the 98 custom is a great beginner gun. you dont need to buy batteries and worry about any electronics getting damaged. this gun is a great beginner gun. it shoots fairly straigh and acurrate. its pretty loud so you have to becareful and make your shots count. thers alot of upgrades for the 98 custom. if your a tactical kinda of person, you cant go wrong with a tippmann.

Nothing beats the tippmann98 when it comes to performance in the mech prize range. Our club has been using these as rentals for years.
I've used these in the cold, during winter in minus 21 celcius without chops/breaks. They are really easy on the paintballs for being a mechanical gun.
Good things: - plenty of upgrades available - doesn't chop - needs very little maintenance - good price - hard to break these things - easy to use
Bad things: - lenght

this gun is possible the hardest gun to break out there. Ive dropped mine in lakes smashed it on rocks and still shoots like a tank. If woodsball and scenario games are your thing, then i would recommend you get this gun! Take my advice if you are a begginer and try it out, plus its very cheaper on ans!
