Flatline does the job, just paint picky |

The Flatline barrel is a good option to get some extended range out of your A5. It definitely does what it advertises. It extends your range quite a bit, but the Flatline seems to be rather picky with what paint you use. Once you find a good paint to barrel match, it can be great. Just make sure to keep it clean. Another option, which I think is a better option than the Flatline is the Apex tip from BT.

Great for long ball'n not for thick woods |

When I first got this barrel I was playing on a fairly open field with only man made cover, no thick brush. I loved the barrel for that type of play. I now play in a more naturally thick wooded field and I had to make a change. The balls go significantly farther however you loose some accuracy due to the spin the barrel puts on the ball. I heavy wood the ball flies farther than you can see so the increased distance in not helpful but the loss of accuracy is a detrement. Great barrel for those playing in more open terrain, not so much when playing in tight brush.

I think the only reason to own a tippmann is for the flatline. Period. it is like cheating on how far this barrel can shoot. Accuracy isnt the greatest after it the paintball starts to get far out there but it is still pretty accurate. If there is no wind you will be having a good day. The barrel is kind of heavy and when you shoot it, it is very loud but it sounds good. For best accuracy use HPA

alright this is the best barrel you can get on your a-5. if you have an a-5 then you would be crazy not to have a flat line. these things are what make a-5's so scary to the opponent. and this site has a great price for them. trust me you are defiantly getting your money's worth for buying this thing. it adds about a hundred feet of range and is ten times better than stock.

This is the best barrel to get on your tippmann A5. It adds up to 100 FT to your range and is very accurate. The flatline looks great but if you dont like it you can get a nice shroud for it to make it look better. The only downside besides having to send it to tippmann to resurface it is you have to use high end paint. If you dont you will chop balls or they wont fly straight or far. If you are some one who likes to stay behind your team and get the long shots this is the barrel for you. Or if you hate getting out before you get close enough to shoot them get the flatline.
