Got it
March 29, 2013
Reviewer: Michael Yu from Camden, NC United States
I got this qev and it works...kinda. I bought the Shocktech body so i couldn't do but so much shaving down to make this qev fit. about halfway through the process i realized that the barb that connects to the hose actually unscrews so you can place it on the reverse side of the qev. this makes the qev face the correct way when screwed all the way in. Make sure you do this before you connect the hose though! I cut my hose to the longer side and now i can't fit it to the other side because it doesn't stick out as far.

Yes, here is what you have to do.

Cut a small piece out of the bodykit, you will see when you try to screw it down where you need to cut, I used an xacto Hobby saw. Now when you screw the QEV down all the way it actually faces the side of the firing can. This is because it was designed for an autococker, not an ION. however if you loctite the QEV in place and just tighten it all the way then back it off to where the barb lines up with the solenoid and let it sit til loctite dries, you are golden. no leaks. yay!
So i give this 3 stars. Yes it works, No its not as nice as the 360.

Ok it does work

Alright the QEV does work for Ions. And you need is a few extra minutes to work on it and it will fit. Its very good I love it. But the reason it "doesnt fit" is because it is suppose to be tight and your not supposed to take it off. If you dont know how to get it on then I suggest you find someone capable to put something simple on your Ion.

It works but not wel

The QEV does exactly what its supposed to.But the installation of it sucks, in fact it didn't even work for my ION, I would screw it in but it wouldn't line up wih the micro line so I suggest that you go with the 360 swivel QEV

Not quite what i hoped for
April 3, 2011
Reviewer: Josh from Ashmore, IL United States
When i first got it, i was having a bit of trouble getting it to fit. I actually had to shave down a bit of the plastic body casing to get it to seat properly, but once that was done, it worked beautifully. If you dont mind some extra work putting it on, I think it's well worth it.

Waste of money..

I've read all the review here about this and honestly they're right, this thing does not work for the Ion. Let's just leave it at that. They should remove this from the Ion section. I can't believe I purchased it.

make sure you have a plastic body kit when buying this qev, you will have to cut a decent chunk out of your body to get it to rotate in. other than that, this is a great qev. side by side testing shows a dwell of 9 ms! when paired with l7 bolt and seventh element board. the 360 is way easier to install, but it also has less purging to it. this is a great qev for an autococker. however i did use it on an ion.
(will only work on front fitting. it WILL tighten down enough so than the pin faces the back of the gun)

Good luck!

This thing will not work on an Ion. It does not have an independent through screw. So when it is tightened the nipple faces the wrong way. Not to mention, there are too many threads so the o ring does not even seat. Who in the world said this thing was for an Ion anyway?
