wow this barrel is great but if you have a project salvo like i do and you want the shroud to be on it then you have to get a bigger barrel maybe like a 12 iinch or 14 because this cant if with the shroud on it. but its a super great tip

dont get me wrong its an awsome thing to have but i sugest getting the
Lapco Ion Big Shot Apex Ready Barrel w/ Apex Tip - 12" - .690 - Dust Black simply because it is the same thing but has a longer barrel and makes it more accurate

Way better than a flat line - Great for speedball	February 11, 2009

I replaced my flatline barrel with this and its way better. Its easy to clean and you dont have to take apart your entire gun to take it off. I also found it has some speedball applications b/c it can go around bunkers if you set it right. The distance is further than a flat line and you also have the ability to switch from flatline mode to regular straight barrel mode for close quarter situations.

Great alternative to the Flatline	February 3, 2009

I like the Apex tip much better than the Flatline barrels from Tippmann. I think the Flatline is a bit too picky about what kind of paint you put through it. The Apex seems much more forgiving when it comes to paint choice. I will agree, that its very unpredictable if you put the Apex on its highest setting, but at halfway, or just a bit more than halfway, you can get very consistent shots with the Apex tip. Only reason Im giving it a 4 out of 5 stars is because the barrel that comes with it is just about as good as the stock barrel. I suggest going with something like a Lapco Apex ready Bigshot barrel and putting the Apex tip on that.

Well What can I say first of all It does work as intended; however, when the barrel is set for maximum curve, you can not fire the marker when it is level to the ground, or the paint will hit the ground 15 feet in front of you. I believe you can out distance the competition with this barrel, but there is a large learning curve to it. (pun intended) Overall I rate this barrel a 4 out of 5 because even though it works as intended , the fact that you have to modify the way you play makes it less than perfect.

Really Shoots 300 feet!!!	February 2, 2009

Wow!! I have used this on my friends Tippman 98 and let me say: This is an AMAZING BARREL!!!! It actually curves and shoots the 300 feet as advertised. The only down side is the noise. This barrel is very noisy. You will almost certainly give away your position in the woods. Never fear, you can just take the tip off and put it on another barrel (that is fitted for the tip).
