I got the bolt a few weeks ago. Played 2 days and put about a case and a half through it. Like others have said i ran into a bunch of issues. Bolt stuck forward intermittently so with the eyes turned on, gun would stop shooting. Eyes off Chop paint like crazy. Played with the dwell and several types of oil/grease. I just played with the old bolt. I'm convinced it has to do with the back o-ring on the golden bolt, just not sure the size. when it works the gun shoots beautifully.I see better range, accuracy, and quiets the gun. I read on a forum that someone ground down where the o-ring sits on the bolt. I wouldn't do it but it seemed to work for him.

Got this for my G4 and after putting this in I ran into many issues. Played with dwell, more/less lube, etc. to try and get it to work better but it just kept sticking... put the original bolt back in and it hums like a tiger again. Perhaps there's a way to make this work like a dream, but I couldn't find it.

Awesome upgrade for the G3 Spec-R. adjusted my dwell, ABS Dwell and pressure setting back to factory before installation. Once installed with a thin layer of goo, I toyed with the three settings again to get them tuned and WOW what a difference. A lot less kick, much quieter, and I save almost 500psi each game. I'm a heavy paint thrower so I run though my die rotor, and 6 dye lock lid pods before i'm even close to being out of air. (68/4500 crossfire tank)

Running a DP G4 and tried it out.

First, it really does increase the G4 efficiency. You will need to tweak your dwell settings. Drop it until the gun velocity drops to find the bottom then move it up one. One of the fields we use only fills to 3000 so the Bolt engine makes a difference as far how much paint I can shoot with a 3k fill.

As far as durability, I've played 3 months with the bolt and nothing wrong with it. So far so good.

This is a very bad bolt! He burst in the fifth game! I do not advise anyone to buy it!
Lifetime warranty - does not work, probably due to the fact that I live in Ukraine!? I offered to send him to the U.S. for $ 50 and wait for an answer ...... On the forums, I learned that this problem is not just me.

Well this is a good upgrade for efficiency and to quiet the g4 a bit, but my bolt just recently shattered during play which in my opinion is ridiculous, that's something that shouldn't happen for a $70 dollar upgrade

i got this back in feb/11. i first installed it and forgot to lower my dwell. i was shooting 3 pods and my rotor hopper and then would notice that i would need air, shoots weren't getting the distance, with the stock. first time with no dwell change 2 pods and hopper and i was out of air. i then changed my dwell. took a few times to find the right dwell for me which was 8. but you can go lower, and now i still have bunch of air after hopper and 3 pods, pods are the dye lock lid pods. a little quieter but not a huge difference. accuracy got better to. worth the money. cant go wrong and a good thing about it has a life time warranty

I have had this bolt for 6 months now, so i feel that I can give it a proper review. The bolt increases air efficiency greatly over the stock bolt. As for sound and kick I cannot tell a difference over the stock. Now for the negatives of this bolt. The bolt has broken in two, twice since I have owned it. However techt gave me a new bolt each time it broke. It has boltstick problems in the cold (recommend using hatersauce or thin lube). Overall its awesome for efficiency, but its very frustrating when it breaks and youre playing( i think it breaks b/c its just a hair too small for the breech causing a little play in bolt and then breakage after awhile from the movement). Hope this review is informative.

I don't know about adjusting the dwell on my marker yet, but I DID notice I got at least 2 more pods out of my 68 ci tank with this bolt. Also, I noticed that this bolt engine makes my marker shoot much more consistent (which I'm sure helps in the accuracy department). If you've got a g3 or G4, I'd encourage you to get this bolt engine; I don't know about lowering the sound signature, but I'm positive that you won't eat through air and you'll be more accurate.

Found this product when I visited the forums on PBNation. They were right... it has been the best thing I've bought since i started playing paintball again. SUPER QUITE! Dead on accuracy- laser beams! And I have been getting an additional 4 Pods on my 68/4500!!! I read the other reviews on ansgear.com and none of them did this bolt justice! It's a great upgrade. The only thing better than this bolt is the customer service I received from TechT- great company!
Bottom line... this bolt is great!!! Thanks TechT and ANS!!!
