sizing chart WWWWAAAAAYYYY OFF
July 15, 2012
Reviewer: nate from UT
edit #2. after a few months of having these pads, the padding in the knee sunk down the the shin and now they slip down like it is nobody's business. awful i have to replace these now. i didn't wear knee pads for one day and didn't notice a difference since they decided to screw me over. the sizing chart is also god awful, if you do decide to buy this product, buy 2 sizes up, i sized at medium according to the chart but i ended up exchanging to an XL and then they fit. great at first, garbage after about 6 months

really good padding

Those knee pads are good but the size chart is stupidly off. But the padding is heavy and resistant.

Poor sizing

Like everyone else has said the sizes run ridiculously small but the product itself is solid quality with really firm padding.
The Valken website has more size information that may help your decision.

Bad Sizing
September 16, 2011
Reviewer: Ben Godfrey from Medicine Hat, AB Canada
Just ordered and used these twice, a size L. Now I'm your average guy, 6', 190lbs, a large should fit right? Not a chance, WAY too tight, top strap digging into my leg, not very comfy. If they fit, they'd be great, but the inch difference in the XL isn't worth the time.

Awesome All-Around Protection
August 26, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Philadelphia, PA United States
Used it for the first time playing woodsball. It saved my knees and and shins from pain when I tripped over a branch and landing, shin first on a branch, and didn't feel a thing. It is a tight fit, and can be hassle taking it off, but the tight fit prevents it from moving around to much and having to adjust it multiple times. Once it was on, it was on til the end. Quality looks good, but I can't comment on the durability, since I've only used it once. But just with the first time, it was well worth the money.

Good, sizing is a bit off
June 11, 2010
Reviewer: Eric Schlossman from NORTH CALDWELL, NJ United States
These are great pads. The padding is good, it doesn't move all that much, I should have gotten a large, but I'm not gonna downplay it because of a tight fit. The gel padding is very thick, and the elastic band inside the straps grips your leg tight. The only problem I've found is that it grips a little too tight. Good padding for the price, 4 stars for improper sizing.
