This essentially is the exact same thing as an ion, that is an ion that actually works. The old ions (which i own one) were a hit or miss and mine happened to be a miss and stopped working the 2nd time i used it. GOG bought the rights and reviewed the design and perfected it thus creating an extremely reliable, cheap gun.

The Extcy is a great buy for those looking for performance of a tourney marker but does not break the bank. Mechanicaly this is an Ion marker improved. The Blackheart borad offers amazing firing modes with all of the additional adjustments of a highend marker. Soft smooth shot, super quiet for the woods. It is one of the most under rated marker on the market to date. Its the best buy and value for markers $400 and under. Satisfied customer right here and you will be too.

You, sir, are retarded. You CAN use Co2 in this gun. You have obviously never used one because although the performance is much worse, you can use Co2 in this marker. Retard.

A little bulkier than expected but fr those with big hands it feels good. Great smooth shooter. Stock barrel is decent, excellent board takes 5mins to learn. Rcommend the 360qev for a bit better efficiency and bps. My stock on/off asa leaked out of the box. Not a bad deal though I'm satisfied.

Please do not listen to the elitist naysayer. If your looking for an affordable electropneumatic paintball marker, this is a great gun. Obviously if your getting into serious tourney play this is not the marker for you, but if your looking to just have a good time with your friends and peeps at the local pb range then by all means don't hesitate to grab this marker. I love it. Easy to clean and well made. and yes this marker uses CO2 and HPA.

"Funk-Master-Flop" obviously doesnt have a clue what she is taking about. I've been playing paintball for 19 years & there's no-way that this is better than a G4, Mini or Etek as she claims. If her "Ion" copy out shoots her friends Eteks then her friends must be retarded like she is & aren't able to pull their triggers. "Hopper-speed" would never force-feed two balls into the breach, that's what the detents are there for. The hose connecting to the reg doesn't have a banjo, the banjo fittings are found inside the marker as per an ION. Clearly she doesn't own one of these markers but a Fong-Kong China knock-off bought at WallMart.
Get a real marker & learn how to play, NOOB!

PS To the two below, If it says "NO CO2" in the manual. Well then it goes without saying, you're too stupid to own a PB marker.

Best Starter Gun	April 23, 2012

this gun blows the g4 and below out of the water, the board is flawless with tons of useful modes, the trigger once you adjust it well can feel like an eclipse trigger, the regulator is very consistent, the efficiency is about 8 pods which is well enough, the barrel is nice (like the linear barrel), and the whole gun is extremely simple. You can maintain the whole gun (bolt, eyes, regulator, piston in on/off asa, etc.) in 5 minutes if you know what you're doing. I haven't had any problems with this gun and i've had it for 5 months now and used it numerous times. The only thing was that it was chopping paint (hopper speed setting was too high and force fed two balls LOL my bad) and that the hose connected to the regulator leaked (didnt tighten the banjo enough LOL my bad again) so pretty much there was only operator error and no problems with the gun. Great gun, my friends all think i bought an Ion and it out shoots their g4's, mini's, and etek's.
