If you are just starting to play paintball this gun is great. However you will need to upgrade almost everything on the gun to make it keep up as your skills grow. I would reccomend just going for a more expensive gun that you wont need to upgrade.

This gun is good but no where neer tourniment grade without major ups... - Bored 90+ - Trigger 30 - feedneck 20+ - barrel 30+ (CP is Best for $30 .693) - on off asa (not smart parts it eats threads like a mo fo) 20+
overall its ok stock but it does shoot nice just slower then most but with the ups listed this is definatly a Really good gun. with the ps its prietty much a shocker for half the price

I got the Ion when it first came out, and it's still going strong!
I even have a Dangerous Power F8, and I use the Ion occasionally just because I like the feel of it.
If your just getting into paintball, try it out before you get any upgrades. Personally, over 3 years all I got is a cheap barrel, feedneck, and trigger. You don't NEED any of those, but I find them handy. The stock board is fine, no one shoots 17+ bps (paintballs per second) on the field anyways, besides, it's not even legal in tournaments to shoot over 15 bps.
Conclusion: If your looking for a cheap paintball gun that keeps up with all the other high-end guns out there, buy this one.
