i got this after i had an ego and etek just because i wanted a gun i could fix up and let friends borrow. I know smart parts sucks, that's why i bought it. I changed everything on this gun. Bolt, feedneck, put a 360 QEV on it, bolt out back system, board, asa, barrel, and had fun doing all of that to it. The regulator is pretty crappy but i don't mind that much. It's no where near light but it suited my needs. A fixer upper.

When I was young and ions first came out, I really wanted to get one since they started at just over $300. Last year I finally picked one up off of ebay for pretty cheap to see if it was as good as I hoped it would be. It came with a board so it shot pretty fast, but wouldn't be able to keep up with other speedball guns. For the price, this gun would be worth buying for weekend play or small upgrades, but if you want to play in a tourney, you should put out a little more money to get a higher end gun.

This gun is an amazing gun and is totally worth the price. When you go to a paintball field you will hear people calling you a begginer because you have one of these bad boys. The funny thing is is that i've had mine for 3 years and im winning tournaments with it. Just imagine the kids face when they see that you just caked him with an ion!!!

This gun is a good starter gun and for this price it is also very reasonable. The Ion is also one of the most customizable guns with many different upgrades for every part you can think of. With the right upgrades, this gun can perform as well as any other marker on the market today. This gun is also very reliable and requires only minor maintenance. However, when you do need to clean it, it is a hassle to open up the entire body.
