Ok to start I've owned an A-5 and an X7 and upgraded them both...alot! Tippmann makes good stuff but then came Smart Parts and their SP1. I love the whole Milsim look but honestly I wanted more function than looks. The SP videos of the SP1 sold me on the SP1. can't beat the price of this marker that can shoot both Co2 & HPA...efficently, low pressure, antichop system that works! this Gun is very solid. I wouldn't mind if it was lighter but that's not an issue. the barrel sit further back towards the grip frame gives you a smaller profile. Awesome select fire, 3 rd burst, and true full-auto. The trigger is smooth. Some think that the 11bps cap is not that fast or not fast enough, yes I can shoot faster with my EGO SL8R...who cares! Believe me the 11bps is perfect! Not too fast & fast enough to provide cover fire...plus you won't waste paint. Maintaining the SP-1 is so simple, grease the bolt & that's it! I've used my SP1 for a yr & NO problems, not even a chopped ball! Awesome Job SP!

This gun is a great woodsball gun for those of use who don't have that much money and want a worry free gun that you can rely on. I have been back playing paintball for about a 3 years. I had a cheap spyder that I was using and then I switched to the Smart Parts SP-1. Needless to say I was very happy with this gun. I don't shoot a lot of paint like some I like to sneak in close and take out the other team, and with gun i can do that. The gun is quiet and it has a great rate of fire for those shoot out. I use a 20oz CO2 and I get about 700-800 shoots with it. I would use a remote system for the gun it will help with the weight and keep CO2 from getting in your gun. Over all this gun is a great gun. I would give it 4.5 Stars

Smart Parts SP1 |

I currently own a Tippmann A5, and a Smart Parts SP1. I use the SP1 as my back up marker, as I find it to be more air efficient, lighter, and is less prone to temperature problems.
I have owned my SP1 for a little under a year, and I find it great. I've used it about 5 or so times, and it worked great every time. The only problems I had with it, are that the regulator freezes rather often in cold weather, and it isn't the most powerful marker out there.
I would recommend buying a new barrel for it, and using HPA.
