The Platinum Series Tippmann 98 Custom, with 8 updated features to put you ahead of the game. Tippmann’s new 98 Custom Platinum Series with Response Trigger is now easier to upgrade, modify and maintain. With the patented air assisted Response Trigger built in you can fire up to 15 balls per second without batteries. There is also a new Quick Thread Flatline Barrel, which attaches as easily as any other barrel to save players significant time and effort. The new Platinum Series maintains the core features of the original 98 Custom including, ACT (Anti Chop Technology), all aluminum die cast receiver, quick-release feeder elbow and a 200-round hopper. It’s fully compatible for CO2, compressed air, or nitrogen.

  • ACT (Anti Chop Technology) is a patent pending design to help eliminate ball chopping and ensure consistent performance. Using a new technology that has the front and rear bolt working independently of each other, ACT virtually eliminates ball chopping and improves ball accuracy with less barrel cleaning. And unlike other anti chop systems, this system maintains ball velocity shot after shot and does not have to be re-cocked if the anti chop technology had to be engaged.
  • The Response Trigger system is patented for rapid air assisting firing 15+ balls per second. The system channels the excess air from each shot to a piston behind the trigger. This piston resets the trigger to the fire position for incredible high rates of fire without the need for electronics of any kind. The rate of fire is controlled on the fly by varying your trigger finger pressure. More or less pressure on the trigger increases or decreases the rate of fire. The minimum and maximum rate of fire can also be easily adjusted at the R/T flow control fitting on the right side of the marker.

98c w/ responce trigger November 12, 2009

i have a tippmann 98c w/ a 2 finger responce trigger and i love it. people always look down apon the 98c because it is a rentle gun. but with just a few upgrades (barrel, responce trigger, and hopper)  it can be one of the best woods ball guns out there.

i personaly dont think that there is a reason to buy an E-trigger sence most woods ball fields are semi only.

the only down side to the responce trigger is that it uses a little more air

Whether this is your 1st gun or you just want to try out a new style of woods ball the 98c w/ responce trigger is the way to go.
