THis is a good hopper and feeds decently fast, except for batteries. It takes 2 9-volts and these days 9-volts are expensive.

To be honest, the main thing that bugs about these hoppers is the look... They just look ridiculous on any typical marker! But they are surprisingly reliable and fast. I have heard problems where the battery door is - for lack of a better word - crap, the small feed neck and oh my God... the thing makes TOO MUCH NOISE! Its hard to play seriously with that unmistakable whirring of the hopper! All in all, though, they are DECENT hoppers for their price. There are few better.

Alright, but mine must have had the wrong board |

I bought my Egg3 for my SLG, and it seemed to work alright for a while. I don't know if it gradually got slower (and no, this had nothing to do with the batteries or the wire connections), or if it was always slower and I just never notices, but it only shoots about 16bps instead of the advertised 23bps. Considering that that seems more like the Y-Board on the Egg2, I made the wild guess that maybe the wrong board was installed. Other than that issue, I actually like the overall hopper. I definetly like how the weight is shifted back towards the player, and the shape does make for an occasional bounce. My only gripe is the lid: I do like how easy it is to load into, but it sometimes gets stuck open a little which can ruin a whole load of paint (all the fields that I play at are very sandy).

Great Hopper |

This is a really good hopper. It has somewhat of a goofy shape, in my opinion, and a high profile. Supposedly, that goofy egg shape allows for more deflected paintballs vs. breaks on the hopper. I'm not really sure if this is true. It feeds pretty quickly and the lid works really well. Overall this is a good hopper for the price.

pros: fast, good price, can keep up with the best, holds a large amount of paint cons: awkward position on the gun the way the feedneck is located. no speed feeds available(had to make my own with a plastic binder which took no time), not low profile(cut the feedneck down). Overall: i believe that if u have the extra cash to buy an empire b with ripdrive or halo b with victory board, other than that, this hopper is awesome and worth the buy if ur on a budget.
