It's a rail, and does exactly what a rail should do, and it's a really great price!
It fit great with my CP dovetail on/off asa, and I'm sure it will work great with any other dovetail asa's.
I'm really happy with it because it also looks pretty cool too, just a nice unmarked semi-gloss black, with the set screws.
The one thing it needs is some screws, because chances are the ones you have with your gun won't fit in this. You'll need to run down to your hardware store and get some socket head cap screws, do an image search on that so you know what you're looking for. They fit perfectly in there for me.
Great Rail for the price!
