The gun was designed to be used byt the U.S. Armed forces as their standard issue pistol but was later walked back because of the increase costs associated. The Beretta APX Pistol is literally a mil-spec pistol that was upgraded and so nice, the Armed forces could not afford it.
The Beretta APX has a polymer frame with steel upper slide. There is also a picatinny rail under the front of the gun where you can mount any type of picatinny rail accessories. This is an exceptional gun at a very affordable price.
