Great Barrel for Great Price	May 4, 2020

I always get asked what and why about the CP barrel attached to my 170r. I think it is the best barrel for the price. I have owned other barrels and barrel kits. I only use a few sizes and in the Midwest area of the united states .685 or a .684 works all year round, even with small paint. I have also been in paintball since the early 90's and know that CP has made great products over the years. I have had my CP Advantage Barrel for the past three years and it has been on almost every brand of marker. It does a great job.

I've build several guns and tried several barrels. On all my cheaper guns, I've always used custom products barrels. Honestly, the custom products brand has the cheapest products that are good quality. They are the line between cheap junk and quality parts. Their barrels work just fine and aren't expensive. Their drop forwards, regulators, and ASAs work just fine and aren't expensive. I've used a bunch of custom products parts in a bunch of guns.

So, this barrel works fine at a good price. If you dont know much about paintball, buy the larger size for better reliability. Especially if you live in hot humid places like Florida, where the heat and humidity makes the paintballs swell up.

Nice and inexpensive	December 31, 2018

I am not huge on excessive sleeve kits. I have always liked simple one piece barrels. This is a great barrel for a great price. It may not be the lightest barrel, but unless you are spending 4 times as much most barrels will be about the same weight anyways. I picked up this one and a .689 since our local fields differ quite a bit in paint size. Shoots well and is moderately quiet. For the price you really can't go wrong if you want to replace a stock barrel. The Advantage looks nice overall as well and the finish is clean.

One of the best low price barrels you can buy. They are made well and can take a beating. These barrels are a great upgrade over a lot of stock barrels that come with most low end - mid range markers. I'd also recommend to go with a .685 bore size. Most paint tends to run smaller than .689 and a smaller size would make more sense to keep in your gear bag.

This barrel has done me nothing but good. Took it out to play in the winter with a bad batch of field paintballs that are mainly bored at .685, gave an overbore with this barrel with a .689, best choice i have ever made. Not a single barrel chop (or breech ball chop ;) fyi) all day. Very impressed, i have shot other barrels nothing is as good as this one.
